Patterned after the international "First Night" model, this is an alcohol-free New Year's Eve celebration with lots of live music on an outdoor stage and a number of indoor arts-related events at the TELUS Conference Centre. The kids' zone has lots of fun performances (magicians, jugglers, clowns) and plenty of arts and crafts. The youth zone is for teens only, and features video games and a nightclub style dance floor. Tickets are available from December 1st at the conference centre and at the Whistler Visitor Information Centre (4230 Gateway Drive). Attracts several thousand participants of all ages.
